The East Coast Mutual Yacht Insurance Association Limited

Established 1897 – Company No. 52231

The East Coast Mutaual Yacht Insurance Association Limited. is a non-profit making concern run entirely for the mutual benefit of its members. It is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

Membership is limited to a maximum of 500.

The following important information should be read carefully when considering any insurance cover offered by the Association.

The Association has substantial reserves and in addition our Third Party and Personal Injury Cover of up to £3,000,000 on any one claim is 100% re-insured.

We do not operate a no claims bonus system but if we have a good year and funds permit we give continuing members the benefit by way of a discount on their premiums for the following year.

Risks are carefully selected. The age, condition and value of the yacht and the owners experience are all taken into account.  No yacht over 50 years of age can be accepted.  Although accepting yachts up to £80,000 in value, we favour the smaller type of sailing cruiser.  We do not accept motor yachts.
